re
(recalling, recollecting, remembering, reminiscing, refreshing)

it was de ja vu
it seemed to me I'd
heard you say
that word before
that word that shakes me from the center
that word that thrills me to the core
that word
you know, that one, I think I heard that word before
          some
     where
          some
     time
and then I remembered
laughter glittered moments
honeysuckled, vined
you with me
in pleasure
you with me
entwined

say that word again, babe...

It's been a good day. It's been a good evening. It will be a good night.

I had a bad day, bad evening. The only reason it will be a good night is because I can sleep.

Still, this is a beautiful piece. I don't know why, but I love the way "you know, that one, I think I heard that word before" sounds.

some really great poetry there jsenn, great emotion, and great flow, a really nice poem :-) (Smile)
Just so you know it's "deja" not two words. Other than that, it's an amazing poem. I love the spacing of the stanzas. The fact that you never actually say the word is also very effective.
Thank you dendia, I knew that didn't look right. I looked it up but my dictionary didn't correct me. Edit doesn't want to work for me tonight, so ya'll just see it as fixed, okeydokey? In the words of the great and wonderful, pachunka, thanks muchly.

I love the format of this poem the style ..the subtle rhyming and yeah that you never actually say the word :) (Smile)

if there is one thing that i appreciate in a poem is its originality, and i gotta say that this is one of the most original poems ive read so far. The concept is simple but powerful, and the words flow as beautifully as the message, nice

I once heard the shortest horror story:

The last person on earth sat in a room,
Something knocked on the door.
The brilliant thing is that you never actually revealed the word. 8) (Cool)

Forgive your enemies. It messes with their heads.
Delightful! A waterfall of feeling with sparkles of sunlight and little rainbows. Just so right and most certainly a favourite. I'm going to read this one again and again and again!
