I felt  
the tears burn behind my eyes  
as ever so carefully  
I asked the question.   
Perhaps I knew the answer, but still  I had to ask.  Maybe, I thought, there will be concern  
and care felt in the hesitation.  
 
Confused and confusing,  confusingly spoken  
staring unbelieving, listening  
broken.   
Asking why  searching for reason  knowing the answer will be certain.   
Still I must ask  still I must seek  reasoning,  
understanding  sense or peace.

And here inside  the recluse hides  the one who stores  my life and times  stealing soft  silently  close-mouthed she is  but tenderly  she tip toes in and out of me.   
She brushes words  with glint of gold  star shaped thoughts  from my centerfold  and just when I think  it\'s all been said  she washes memory  across my hand.

My sweet little pulsating batty was created and given to me by the great (paroxysm)

That gentle heart in Joy avatar was created and given to me by the wondrous (arterie) He has given me many beautiful avatars and every one of my ID's.


I never asked for them, they just appear. It's always a wonderful surprise.

The first one I ever got was from (sirmorphix) then one from (pbois) (paddymick) (avs-king) (skyorange) and (my dearest Mari), more than one from (etype2) and (boxxi) and (ernst) and those fantastic little pieces of art that I used as headers for many of my poems by (ramdom)

I can't count the poems written for me, the AVS presets or the art simply given. What an amazing thing it is to know you all.

I am Joy Senn, jsenn here at deviantART. I live in a small town in Texas. I am a woman, wife, mother, grandmother, I've loved art since I discovered that creative bent within myself at age 6, sitting on the floor with a "Big Chief" tablet and a box of new "Crayolas." I am a retired DTP for small companies and my family's "computer geek." I create wind chimes of spoons; hang strings of beads around my deck to sparkle in the sun. I am a container of artistic expression and prose discovered one night at a skins site more than five years ago. Now they call me "poet." My poetry is "emotional," when categorized, and heavily influenced by love, passion and relationships met on this journey we call "life." Ah, there you have it, the simplistic abbreviation of a life's sweet mysteries.

jsenn! It's great you're still on deviantart.

My muse has so, so left me the past 5+ years. But it's nice to come back and read what I had and what you, skyorange, etc., all thought.

I must've lost track of my elf? spider? I've forgotten! And my cape probably got packed away somewhere...

Actually, anymore I seem only to find the spark when someone I love has passed away. I think I'll try and post the latest (in memory of my grandfather) here, for old times' sake.

I'm glad I'll be able to share it with someone I know. :)
